'National Heroes Tour' to make stop in Marshall March 27/Organizers host planning meeting March 24

Local veterans and veterans supporters announced Monday, March 24, that a tour of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans will make a stop in Marshall Thursday, March 27.

The group, headed by Lester Bailey, Marshall Krause and Norvelle "Brownie" Brown, are holding a preparation meeting Monday, March 24, at 7 p.m. in the Saline County Courthouse.

Volunteers who wish to help with the project are welcome.

The tour is sponsors by Vets for Freedom and is described on the organization's Web site as "a national bus tour" for veterans "to take their non-partisan message of progress and freedom from coast-to-coast."
