Diana S. Arbogast, 71, of rural Slater, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Big Bend Retreat Nursing Home in Slater.
Graveside services will be Saturday, March 22, 2008, at 10 a.m. at New Frankfort Cemetery, north of Slater. Fr. Michael Penn will officiate. Pallbearers will be Mike Rogers, John Markovich, Earl Meyer and Alvin Williams. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Association.
Born Oct. 17, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pa., she was the daughter of the John and Gertrude Lewison. On July 14, 1956, in Philadelphia, she married Theodore L. "Teddy" Arbogast and he preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 2003. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Slater and had worked at Penny Plate in Glasgow and Big Bend Retreat in Slater.
She is survived by one son, Raymond Arbogast of Slater; three daughters, Dawn Engel of Branson West, Virginia Arbogast of Charlotte, N.C., and Veronica Arbogast of Columbia; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Sonny Lewison of Philadelphia.
She was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Arbogast, and one sister.
