Dr. James P. Igo, 63, of Marshall, died Monday, March 17, 2008, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. at Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall, with Rev. Mark Gooden officiating. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. A Memorial has been established to Cleveland Chiropractic College in care of Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born June 30, 1944, in Kansas City, he was son of the late L. Louis Igo and Martha Baker Igo. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1962 and Cleveland Chiropractic College, Kansas City, in 1973. He practiced in Marshall for over 30 years. He was an avid musician, member of Mid-Day Optimist, Masonic Lodge, Elks Lodge, Shriners and First Christian Church.
Survivors include one son, James Igo Jr. and his wife, Ellie, of O'Fallon; two daughters, Jana Hedrick and her husband, Darren, of Blue Springs and Leslee Marquart and her husband, Kyle, of St. Genevieve; five grandchildren, Madelyn, Zoey, Laz, Leann and Preston; one brother, L. Daniel Igo of Seal Beach, Calif.; and one sister, Jane Forbes of Grain Valley.
He was preceded in death by his father, L. Louis Igo, on March 30, 1984, and his mother, Martha Baker Igo, on Oct. 13, 1989.
