Floyd J. Garrett, 63, of Marshall, died Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to The Lighthouse Shelter. He was born August 19, 1944, in Springfield. He had lived in Marshall since 1995, moving from Collinsville, Okla. He had worked at Marshall Habilitation Center, retiring in 2006. He attended Full Gospel Church and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his companion, Faye Fowler of the home; their children, Tami Pekera of Denver, N.C., and Wade Walker of Lake Mary, Fla.; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Keith Walker.
