Annie J. Howery, 92, of Marshall, died Saturday, March 8, 2008, at Mar-Saline Manor Care Center in Marshall.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at Union Cemetery in Saline County. Rev. Russ Johnson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Chris Erickson, Kevin Erickson, Nick Erickson, Robert Garrett and Raymond Howery. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 10, at Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall. A memorial has been established to Union Cemetery in care of the funeral home in Marshall.

She was born Jan. 26, 1916, in Saline County, the daughter of the late Estil and Susan Finley Garrett. On Oct. 8, 1938, in Sedalia, she married Arthur F. Howery, who preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 1997. She and her husband farmed and lived in Saline County all of their lives. She retired from ConAgra Frozen Foods and was a member of Gill Memorial Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Russell "Curly" Garrett of Marshall; one daughter, Susan Erickson of Marshall; one sister, Wynema Scott of Moscow Mills; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters.
