Christine Estes, 78, of Marshall, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, north of Marshall. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to family choice. Born April 27, 1929, in Bernie, she was the daughter of the late George Mausey and Ruby Lovett Mausey. She spent her childhood in the Bernie area, where she was a graduate of Bernie High School. On May 19, 1951, she married Earnie L. Estes, who preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 2001. She lived most of her life in Marshall, where she worked at Marshall Habilitation Center as a developmental assistant for 17 years, as well as being a homemaker.
Survivors include four sons, George Estes of Mahomet, Ill., Bobby Estes of Green Ridge, Doug Estes of Camdenton and Don Estes of Sedalia; four daughters, Barbara Hoyle of Waverly, Mary Johnson of Holt, Tina Estes of Marshall and Sue Lueck of Orlando, Fla.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Wilburn Mausey of Springfield; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Earnie Joe "Tinker" Estes and Leroy W. Estes.
