Favorite Tina-Avalon has two players who each score nearly what the entire Malta Bend team averages per game, and both exceeded their norms during an 86-14 first-round victory. Sophomore Darcy Jenkins tallied 10 of her game-high 21 points during the Lady Dragons' 23-5 first-quarter run and senior Brittany Maasdam added 16 points.
Tina-Avalon (22-4) will advance into Thursday's semifinal round against Bosworth.
Junior Emily Warner's 10 points led the Lady Tigers (0-19), who could return their entire roster next year as it attempts to avoid three straight winless seasons.
