Roberta Lee Klein, 81, of Kansas City, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at her residence.
Cremation. Inurnment will be Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at noon in Sunset Gardens in Marshall. Friends and family will be received at the home that evening. Arrangements are under the direction of Muehlebach Funeral Home in Kansas City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Continua Hospice, 7611 State Line Rd., Kansas City, MO 64114.
She was born Oct. 30, 1926, in Naperville, Ill., the daughter of Walter and Mildred (Crow) Stanley. A skilled seamstress, she was well-known for her hand-made quilts, pillows and other painted craft treasures. Heart Quilters, the family and friends group that met weekly with "Aunt Bobbie" will carry on her traditions.
She is survived by one son, Vernon A. "Tony" Klein of Kansas City; one daughter, Kaitlin Post and her husband, Mike Kelly, of Columbia; one sister, Betty Hickox of Syracuse, N.Y.; one brother, Henry Stanley and his wife, Helen, of Raymore; one aunt, Allie Miller of Wentzville, formerly of Marshall; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
