Mary Lou Pearson, 86, of Marshall, formerly of Arrow Rock, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Arrow Rock Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Arrow Rock Cemetery or Friends of Arrow Rock. Born Oct. 25, 1921, in Fairville, she was the daughter of the late Jackson Edward Long and Ida Crutcher Withers Long. On Nov. 28, 1952, she married G. Morris Pearson, who preceded her in death May 23, 2000. She had lived in the Arrow Rock community most of her life and was a retired LPN from Marshall Habilitation Center. She was a member of Arrow Rock Federated Church, a 50-year member of Arrow Rock Chapter DAR, a life member of Friends of Arrow Rock and also served on numerous boards in Arrow Rock.
Survivors include her children, Jackie Hackler of Marshall, Bill True and his wife, Bobbie, of Arrow Rock and Sally McDowell and her husband, Rick, of Parkville; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Taylor McDowell and Michael Lawrence Sloan, and one sister, Jane Madison.
