Brad Townsend, 21, of Boonville, formerly of rural Nelson, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Randy Shannon officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Arrow Rock Cemetery. Memorials may be made to family choice. Born July 13, 1986, in Sweet Springs, he was the son of Maureen Lynn French Raisbeck of Montana and James R. "Rusty" Townsend and Sharon Willis of rural Nelson. He had lived in Boonville the last 13 months, where he worked at Savvy Seconds. Prior to moving there, he lived in rural Nelson and worked at Arrow Rock Country Store. He was a 2006 graduate of Slater High School, where he was a member of the FFA Chapter and was a basketball manager.
Additional survivors include maternal grandmother, Gloria French of Concordia; paternal grandmother, Pat Townsend Drane and her husband, Jim, of Boonville; two sisters, Davin Willis of Fayette and Lindsay Willis of rural Nelson; two brothers, Micheal Townsend of Salina, Kan., and Nolan Townsend of Slater; and two nieces, Lydia Grace Willis and Kendall Rae Gerlt.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bill French and Jim Townsend, and one sister, Danielle Marie Townsend.
