Michael Thomas Williams, 57, of Marshall, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at his home.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at First Christian Church in Marshall, with Rev. Mike Brown and Rev. Dave Huck officiating. Born Sept. 8, 1950, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Jane Waters Williams and Harry Randolph Williams Jr. At the time of his death he was the music instructor at Malta Bend High School. He had previously taught in Slater and the Kansas City, Kan., Public School District. He was a member of First Christian Church, where he was the choir director, and was also a member of Missouri State Teachers Association, Marshall Philharmonic, Marshall Municipal Band and was the pianist for the Gospel group "Go Forth."

Survivors include one aunt, Catherine Kennedy of Marshall; and three cousins, Robert Kennedy and his wife, Ann, of Liberty, Allen Kennedy and his wife, Gail, of Carrollton, Texas, and Melissa Simpson and her husband, William, of Irvine, Calif.
