Martin Wilson Pace, 95, of Sedalia, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 30, 2008, at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home in Sedalia, with Rev. Tedd Francis officiating. Pallbearers will be Eddie Bergman, Greg Brooks, Adam Brooks, Keith Brooks, Ken Walker and Fritz Strodtman. Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Bergman, Bobby Pace, Sandra Marasco, Donna Wood and Brenda Kendrick. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, and visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery in Marshall.
Born Aug. 17, 1912, in Nelson, he was the son of George and Elizabeth (Custer) Pace. On Jan. 6, 1936, he married Leta Pearl Eterington, who preceded him in death in 1972. He was a factory and construction worker. He was also a Freemason.
He is survived by one daughter, Darlene Brooks of Sedalia; one sister, Esther Pace of Warrensburg; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild and four step-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Georgia Gillespie, Ruth Hunt and Hazel Reno; and one brother, Richard Pace.
