Millicent Greer Roscher, 83, of rural Sweet Springs, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs, with Rev. Dan Wing officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Born April 13, 1924, in Longwood, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley Greer and Kathinka Gray Greer. On June 5, 1948, she married Leland F. Roscher Sr., who preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1983. She was a graduate of Longwood High School and attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg. She was a teacher and farm wife. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs and Marshall Chapter DAR.
Survivors include one son, Leland "Corky" Roscher Jr. and his wife, Ruth, of rural Sweet Springs; one daughter, Kay Knipmeyer and her husband, Jerry, of rural Sweet Springs; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Gray Walk of Sedalia and Mary Weymuth of Cole Camp; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
