Ella "Kathryn" A. Sleeper, 74, of Sedalia, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home in Sedalia, with Rev. Donald Simmons officiating. "In The Garden," "How Great Thou Art," "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace" will be provided by Crystal Narron and Tammi Green. Pallbearers will be Billy Sleeper, Jason Sleeper, Jonathan Sleeper, Joshua Sleeper, Daniel Sleeper, Mike Sleeper and Steven Sleeper. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hazel Grove Cemetery in Herndon. The family suggests contributions to New Salem Baptist Church, Marshall Junction, in care of Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home.

Born Aug. 3, 1933, in Liberty, she was the daughter of the late Albert J. Dillon and Minnie Vera (Marquess) Dillon. On June 21, 1952, she married Cecil E. Sleeper in Marshall; he survives of the home. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Sedalia.

She is survived by three sons, Larry E. Sleeper of Houstonia, Gary Sleeper of Sedalia and Junior Sleeper of Sedalia; three sisters, Jane Kearney of Sedalia, Dorothy Cornine of Houstonia and Mary Ann Johnson of Houstonia; six brothers, Albert J. Dillon of Napton, Carroll Dillon of Marshall, Darrell Dillon of Houstonia, Jackie Dillon of Sweet Springs, Jerry Dillon of Sweet Springs and John Dillon of Houstonia.; three half-brothers, Brian Dillon, Aaron Dillon and Scott Dillon, all of Sweet Springs; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Lou Bryson of Napton, and one infant brother, Delbert Dillon.
