For Marshall City Council seats -- one in each ward --incumbents have filed to be on the ballot: Sheila Cook, Ward 1; Vince Lutterbie, Ward 2; Dan Brandt, Ward 3; and Ron Duvall, Ward 4.
Challengers have filed in wards 1 and 3. David Kemm will challenge Cook for the two-year seat on the council, while John Walden is running against Brandt.
Three incumbents and three challengers have filed for three seats on the Marshall Board of Education.
Incumbents who will be on the ballot are Jay Barton, Mark Gooden and Anita Wright. Challengers are Thomas Bell, Roger Blakely and Sherrie Stouffer.
For three open spots on the Sweet Springs Board of Education, two incumbents -- Jack Thomas and Robert Fuehring -- have filed for re-election. Current member Phil Clevenger did not filef or re-election.
Also filing for Sweet Springs school board are Troy Schroeder, Brian Vogelsmeier and Tom Tyler.
Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen incumbents Billie Clevenger and Derl Bernard have filed for re-election. Bernard will face Jim Lindemann on the ballot, while Clevenger remains unopposed.
City Collector Janice Bybee filed for re-election and will face challenger Amber Schlatweiler.
For the mayor's post, currently held by Roxanne Hinton, Raymond Kinney has filed for the ballot and will run unopposed as Hinton has decided not to seek re-election.
For Slater City Council, five seats are open, with Matt Campbell, Ward 1; Rex Cantlin, Ward 3; Cathie Jeffries, Ward 4; Harry Lightfoot, Ward 1; and Ruby Romine, Ward 2 having filed for re-election.
Challenger Frank Dolezal has also filed to be on the ballot to represent Ward 3.
Slater Board of Education incumbents Jodi Fuemmeler, current secretary; Mike Venable, current vice-president; and Rob Newman have filed for re-election, and challenger Julie Smith will also be on the ballot.
Three incumbents have filed for re-election to the Malta Bend Board of Education: Doreena Forqueran, Jackie Plattner and Mindy Rigby.
Challengers Clyde Haley and Scott Moore have also filed to be on the ballot.
For the "at large" position on the 9-1-1 Commission, challenger Gene Griffith of Slater will face incumbent John Fletcher of Marshall.
Hoping to represent the Northern District on the commission are Cathie Jeffries, Slater; Cindy Schroeder, Marshall; John Rieves, Marshall; and James Bird, Slater.
On the ballot to represent the Southern District are Jesse Coslet, Marshall; Corbin Allred, Marshall; Jack Lenz, Marshall; and Carl Webb, Sweet Springs.
Voters will choose three commissioners for each district.
