Thelma Maye Rinehart, 86, of Marshall, formerly of Chillicothe, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2008, at Mar-Saline Manor Care Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Chillicothe. There will be a family visitation held Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Friends may call Wednesday from noon to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Chillicothe. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church in Chillicothe building fund and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
She was born Dec. 26, 1921, in Chillicothe, the daughter of Joseph S. and Addie E. (Lovell) Chambers. On Sept. 11, 1940, she married Buell Clyde Rinehart in Purdin. He preceded her in death on June 14, 1985. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Chillicothe. She was a 1938 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She was a member of Royal Neighbors, Chillicothe RSVP, VFW American Legion Auxiliary and the After Five extension club.
She is survived by two sons, Randy Rinehart of Marshall and Joe Rinehart of Chillicothe; one daughter, Sandy Machholz of Marshall; one brother, Herschel Chambers of Kansas City; one sister, Vada Harper of Chillicothe; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Inez Wilson and Beulah Dowell; twin sister, Velma Rinehart; two brothers, Howard Chambers and Gene Chambers; one infant son, Buell Clyde Rinehart Jr.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
