Janet E. Anderson, 73, of Sedalia, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at Bethel Assembly of God, with Pastor Bracy Hill officiating. Pallbearers will be Christa Alcorn, Kristina Semler, Amanda McGee, Barry Kimbrell, Tommy Washam and Justin States. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at Bethel Assembly of God in Sedalia. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Bethel Assembly of God, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
She was born June 25, 1934, in Marshall, the daughter of W.T. and Elva Fall Woods. On Dec. 21, 1956, in Slater, she was married to Bill Anderson, who survives of the home. She was raised and educated in Marshall and was a graduate of Marshall High School. She worked as an area coordinator for OATS Transportation in Sedalia for 17 years, until her retirement in 2001. She was an active member of Bethel Assembly of God in Sedalia. She enjoyed cooking and doing things for others. She was devoted to her family and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Also surviving are a son, Brett Anderson and his wife, Kim, of Sedalia; two daughters, Debbie States and her husband, Richard, of Sedalia and Kimberly Alcorn of Lee's Summit; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Eris Kimbrell.
