Jane M. Rawlings Neuvirth, 77, of Littleton, Colo., formerly of Marshall, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at Littleton Adventist Hospital in Littleton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, at Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home.
She was born Sept. 10, 1930, in Marshall, the daughter of the late Owen and Vesta Morton Rawlings. She was a graduate of Marshall High School. On June 17, 1961, in Marshall, she married George J. Neuvirth, who survives of the home. They lived in Wichita, Kan., for several years before moving to Littleton in 1963. She was a high school English teacher for many years before her retirement. She showed dogs in competition and was a swim instructor in Littleton and served as a national swim judge. She was a member of DAR.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Paul G. Neuvirth of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; one daughter, Grace E. Schmidt of San Jose, Calif.; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Cornine of Marshall; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers.
