Kenneth Eugene Warren

Kenneth Eugene Warren, age 82, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Monday, December 31, 2007 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital.

Kenneth was born February 6, 1925 in Weed, California, the son of Artie Ray and Mildred A. (Coburn) Warren. He graduated from high school at Marshall, Missouri in 1943. He was a United States Navy veteran.

On May 8, 1947 he married Betty J. Cone in Lawrence, Kansas. She survives at the home.

Kenneth had owned and operated Warren Lumber Company in Carrollton, Missouri since 1951. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Carrollton where he served on the building committee, as Trustee, Elder, Deacon, and served as chairman of the church board. He served as Vice-President of the Carroll County Savings and Loan Association. Kenneth was a sustaining member of the Boy Scouts of America. He was also a member of the Horseshoe Hunting Club, Lions Club, and served on the Carrollton Housing Authority Board. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Pence-Lovell-England Post #1773 in Carrollton.

Kenneth is also survived by two children, Ken E. Warren and wife Beth, Janice A. (Warren) Miller and husband Ron, all of Carrollton, four grandchildren, Christine Reneé Davis, Orion B. Warren, Natalie A. (Miller) Lavelock, Megan E. Miller, two great grandchildren, Brianna Marie Davis and Nathan Michael Lavelock.

His parents also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with Reverend Robert Simpson officiating. Burial with military graveside services will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.

Visitation will be from 1-1:45 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family suggests contributions be made to Kenneth E. Warren Building Trades Memorial Scholarship, C/O Carroll County Savings & Loan, 121 North Folger Street, Carrollton, Missouri in memory of Mr. Warren. They may be mailed to or left at Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S. Main, Carrollton MO 64633.
