Virginia Frances Cox, 69, of Dover, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington. Burial will be in Dover Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Dover Cemetery. She was born Dec. 8, 1938, in Carrollton, the daughter of Henry and Neatie Butler Brockert. She was employed as a registered nurse for 35 years.

She is survived by her husband, Ken M. Cox and son, Dakota, of Dover; three sons, Bill Darnell, Larry Darnell and Gary Darnell, all of Richmond; one sister, Susie Verts of Marshall; one brother, Gene Brockert of Carrollton; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and Dale; her first husband, Jimmy Darnell; and a grandson, James Darnell.
