The Mustangs (2-5), led by junior Trevor Durrill's nine points, battled for a half -- but were then overwhelmed, 31-3, after the break. Sophomore Hunter Rolf came off the bench to tally nine second-half points for the Chiefs.

Pilot Grove 94, Sweet Springs 50
SEDALIA -- "Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you," intoned Sam Elliott's The Stranger in the Coen Brothers film "The Big Lebowski."
So it was for Sweet Springs on Friday at the SFCC/W-K Holiday Shoot-out in Sedalia. A night after hanging 94 points on LaMonte, the Greyhounds gave up that number to a Pilot Grove club more than willing to run and gun with them.
The Tigers scored the game's first 21 points and coasted after taking a 57-24 into halftime. Senior Tyler Ellebracht, a 6-foot-4 forward, was the biggest bear for Pilot Grove (5-1) with 30 points and 15 rebounds.
Sophomore Zach Thomas had 14 points and sophomore Billy Martin 12 for Sweet Springs (2-4), which committed 21 turnovers and shot five of 28 from three-point range.
Slater 48, Prairie Home 38
PRAIRIE HOME -- Senior Aric Falls scored 13 of his team-high 19 points during the second half Friday as Slater gradually pulled away from Prairie Home for a 48-38 non-conference road win.
Sophomore Zach Glenn had eight points in the first quarter and seven points in the fourth, finishing with 23 points, but the Panthers (0-4) were unable to stay close enough to cash in on the Purple's woeful 0-for-6 free-throw shooting down the stretch.
Senior Austin Foster contributed seven points and nine rebounds and senior Kyle Durham had eight points off the bench for Slater (2-5).

Sweet Springs 42, Pilot Grove 24
