Floyd Leo Shepard, 85, of Marshall, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Claude Fields officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. Memorials may be made to family choice. Born May 10, 1922, in Slater, he was the son of the late Roy Shepard and Pearl Auer Shepard. He was a graduate of Slater High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He had lived in Saline County most of his life and was a mechanic for Ream's Auto Sales in Marshall and then owned several rental houses and sold automobiles. He attended the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include one sister, Opal Shepard of Slater; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
