Albert E. Delana, 61, of Waverly, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at Waverly Baptist Church in Waverly, with Pastor Mike Walker officiating. Burial was in Waverly Cemetery in Waverly. He was born July 7, 1946, in Hodge, the son of Martin M. and Leona M. (Hostetter) Delana. He graduated from Grand Pass High School. On May 27, 1967, he married Shirley Boehmer in Alma; she survives of the home. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a truck driver for Zeysing Farms in Marshall. He was a member of Waverly Baptist Church.
He is survived by three children, Don Delana of Olathe, Kan., Dave Delana of Warrensburg and Crystal Faler of Waverly; two brothers, Garry M. Delana and Roger D. Delana, both of Waverly; and six granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Monroe Delana and Larry Delana; and an infant sister, Mary.
