Helen E. Hufford, 73, of Marshall, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Douglas A. Dubisar officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery in Miami. Memorials may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshall. Born Sept. 1, 1934, in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Henry F. Helmich and Mary Ann Isert Helmich. On May 30, 1987, she married Stephen M. Hufford, who preceded her in death on June 8, 1989. She had lived in Marshall most of her life, retired from Banquet Foods and was a homemaker, She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one son, Robert Gene Record of Marshall; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; three brothers, Raymond Helmich of Turney, Alvin Helmich of Sedalia and Eugene Helmich of Cahokia, Ill.; two sisters, Marie Philips of Marshall and Martha Cathey of O'Fallon; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Butch Helmich and Larry Dexter.
