Corinne J. Wansing, 103, of Marshall, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall, with Fr. Kevin Gormley officiating. Prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall, with visitation following from 7 to 8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Joe Wansing, Steven Wansing, Kelly Wansing, Scott Wansing, Jeff Carter and Greg Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Samson, John Pat Samson, Arlie Wansing, Kevin Wansing, Larry Wansing and Brian Carter. Burial will be held in Mount St. Mary's Cemetery in Shackelford. Born Dec. 2, 1903, in Flint Hill, she was the daughter of the late Michael Boland and Sophie Strunk Boland. In 1925, she married Edward C. Wansing, who preceded her in death in 1972. She had lived in Saline County most of her life and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society and Daughters of Isabella.
Survivors include three daughters, Helen Samson Feik and her husband, Alex, of Versailles, Marie Rupp and her husband, Ron, of Lee's Summit and Rose Ann Vanderbeck of Gravois Mills; one daughter-in-law, Karen Wansing Weber of rural Marshall; 22 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Carter of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, Glenn Wansing, Jim Wansing and Mike Wansing, one granddaughter, several great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and eleven brothers and sisters.
