Helen A. Lovvorn, 83, of Marshall, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Private graveside services will be held in Burlington Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Burlington, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Online condolences may be sent to www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Jan. 7, 1924, in Sperry, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Paul Frederick Breuer and Florence Sophia Seilerman Breuer. On Sept. 16, 1943, she married James J. "Jim" Lovvorn, who preceded her in death on July 10, 1983. She had lived in Marshall since 1999, moving from Oklahoma City, Okla., and was a homemaker. She was a Methodist and a member of U.M.W. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary in Monmouth, Ill., for 35 years.
Survivors include three sons, Michael J. "Mike" Lovvorn of Elgin, Texas, Donald L. "Don" Lovvorn of Wentzville and William P. "Bill" Lovvorn of Denison, Texas; one daughter, Beverly J. Kidd of Marshall; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Breuer and Mark Breuer.
