Glasgow buries 'Cats in tourney

Wednesday, November 28, 2007
GLASGOW -- The only time all-state junior Jay Lee was stopped Tuesday was when he was resting on the bench, which is where he spent most of the second half since he wasn't needed any longer on the court during Glasgow's 74-34 blowout of Slater in the first round of the Glasgow Tournament.

Lee scored 18 of his game-high 22 points before the break, the Yellowjackets holding a 45-19 lead. To make sure the Wildcats wouldn't get any ideas about coming back, junior Dustyn Yung knocked down a pair of three-pointers during a 23-3 third-period spree for Glasgow (1-0).

Senior Aric Falls had 14 points and six rebounds for Slater, which shot only 29.5 percent from the field. The 'Cats (0-2) will take on Westran in the consolation semifinal round Thursday.
