Janette Trimble, 85, of Gilliam, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshall. Rev. Douglas A. Dubisar will officiate. A short reception will follow the services at the church, with private family burial in Gilliam Cemetery immediately following. Pallbearers will be Harold Newton, John Trimble, Matt Trimble, Jim Granneman, Andrew Marsh and David Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Monnig, Rick Pycke, Wesley Isle and Jack Uhrig. Judy Klasing, organist, will accompany the congregation in singing "Amazing Grace," "My Faith Looks Up to Thee" and "For All the Saints." Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Memorials are suggested to the church or Big Bend Retreat in Slater.
Born April 17, 1922, in Cole Camp, she was the daughter of the late August R. and Ella Mueller Granneman. On March 2, 1941, in Gilliam, she married John W. Trimble Jr.; he preceded her in death on June 24, 2001. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshall. She was a member of the Vivian Lessley Study Club and the 42 Club. She lived in Gilliam for many years.
She is survived by three sons, Tim Trimble of Slater, John W. Trimble of Columbus, Ohio, and August Gene Trimble of Fairport, N.Y.; one daughter, Sandra Sue Newton of Marshall; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, A.W. "Gussie" Granneman of Laurie; and one sister, Barbara Robinson of Columbia.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene Granneman and Ralph Granneman.
