Newcope/MoDOT plans work on I-70, U.S. 65 junction Nov. 19 and 20

Thursday, November 15, 2007
The Missouri Department of Transportation announced that maintenance crews will reduce traffic to one lane on the I-70 Bridge at the U.S. 65 interchange in Saline County, and temporarily close cloverleafs at the interchange to make repairs in the area.

The work will begin on Monday, Nov. 19, and continue on Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.

The northbound U.S. 65 to I-70 westbound ramp and the I-70 westbound to U.S. 65 southbound ramp will be closed on both days. Traffic on I-70 will be reduced to one lane on both days.

Traffic control devices will be in place to detour motorists around the closures. Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution, watch for reduced speed limits, pay close attention when traveling in the work zone, and to choose alternate routes when possible. The project is weather dependent, and could be rescheduled to a later date.
