Sheriff's deputies investigate report of stolen exhaust stacks

Saline County Sheriff's Department officers were notified of the theft of two six-inch chrome exhaust stacks for a Kenworth semi-trailer truck at a Gilliam residence.

Mike R. Haynes of Independence reported the theft on Saturday, Nov. 3. The value of the two stacks is approximately $1,200.

According to the sheriff's report, Haynes last saw the stacks on Oct. 14.

With the date of the theft unknown and no suspects, the investigation will not continue.

MHS class of 1963 seeks help planning reunion

Anyone who is interested in helping plan the 45th reunion of the Marshall High School class of 1963 should contact Gary and Cheryl Riley at (660) 886-5064. The Rileys are planning a meeting at their home Monday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m.
