Post commentVeterans Day services will be held Friday, Nov. 9, in the Slater High School gymnasium at 10 a.m.
The featured speaker will be Rear Admiral J. Stanton Thomas, USN (ret.).
The public is invited to attend the service. The event is sponsored by Slater American Legion Post 178 and Slater VFW Post 4367.
Veterans Day service in Marshall to be held Monday, Nov. 12, at the Saline County Courthouse
Jim Brown of Malta Bend American Legion Post No. 558 announced that Veterans Day services would be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at the Saline County Courthouse.
The guest speaker will be Jim Heinzler.
Area students from Marshall and Malta Bend will provide music, songs and tributes to the country's veterans, Brown said.
The service will conclude with students releasing colorful balloons.
