Mona Lou Herbert, 57, of Bolivar, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at her home after suffering a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, with Rev. Gary Ankrom officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar. Music will be "When I Get Where I'm Going," "If Tomorrow Never Comes," "Choices," "What Hurts The Most," "The Dance," and "Grand Tour." Pallbearers will be Jeff Wells, Terry Francka, Kenny Floyd, Shane Floyd, Randy Long and Bob Chaney. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to service time at the funeral home. She was born on Nov. 23, 1949, in Buffalo to Edgel Morton and Helen Bernice Bailey Nicholson. She was a retired self-employed hairdresser.
She is survived by her husband, Lee "Beeb" Allen Herbert of the home; two sons, Mike Herbert of Bolivar and Jeff Herbert of Raymore; three daughters, Tina Lisk of Ankara, Turkey, Heather Herbert of Marshall and Kendra Bartshe of Bolivar; two brothers, Steve Nicholson of Malta Bend and Chuck Nicholson of Republic; six sisters, June Ragland of Marshall, Rhonda Tindle of Fair Play, Robin Colbert of Buffalo, Tracy Nicholson of Buffalo, Leslie Mincks of Huron and Terry Jo Arnold of Malta Bend; 10 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
