Saline County Sheriff's Department makes personnel changes

The recent departure of Chris Chamberlin from the Saline County Sheriff's Department has triggered two more personnel changes.

Sheriff Wally George announced late last week that Deputy Sheriff Daniel Kirchhoff will move from the jail division to the road division effective Friday, Oct. 27, replacing Chamberlin.

Kirchhoff has been a full-time officer for four years.

Kirchhoff's position at the jail will be filled by Greg Billingsley, a lifelong Saline County resident, who was a reserve deputy in the county in the 1980s.

Billingsley will begin training with Saline County Justice Center staff on Monday, Nov. 5.
