William H. “Bill” Vanderhoff, 76, of Huntsville, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at Loma Linda Nursing Home in Moberly.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, at the funeral home. A private family interment, with military rites, will be held Monday, Oct. 22, at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Jacksonville.

He was born Nov. 28, 1930, in Moberly, the son of the late Henry Vanderhoff and Anna Estel Murphy Vanderhoff. On March 12, 1952, he married Mary Sue McDowell in Huntsville, and she survives of the home. He was employed for 20 years with McGraw-Edison Company in Moberly; and for 13 years he worked for Missouri Highway Department at the Huntsville barn. He was also engaged in farming. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War with Company G of the 34th Infantry Regiment.

Additional survivors include three children, Linda Gordon and her husband, Rob, of Marshall, Lora Colley and her husband, Mike, of Huntsville and Bill D. and his wife, Carol, of Concordia; one brother, Melvin Vanderhoff and his wife, Joyce, of Moberly; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
