Donna Gail Reed Palmer, 67, of Longs, S.C., formerly of Marshall, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at Blue Lick Cemetery near Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Van Meter State Park. Born Aug. 5, 1940, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Reed and Cora Alice Gordon Melies. She had lived in Longs, S.C., the last two years, previously living in Marshall and Sedalia. She had been a beautician. She worked at Van Meter State Park, Marshall Habilitation Center and had been a bus driver in Sedalia. She attended Southside Assembly of God in Marshall.
Survivors include one son, Michael Hieronymus of Newport News, Va.; one daughter, Sherry Perez of Longs, S.C.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Marjorie Manson of Marshall; one brother, James G. Reed of San Diego, Calif.; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, R.C. "Bob" Melies; two sons, Jim Hieronymus and Tim Hieronymus; and one brother, Kenneth Reed.
