Sheriff's deputies arrest Nelson woman on warrant, also investigate separate shoplifting incident at Marshall Junction

Tuesday, September 25, 2007
Regan Deanne Cornine, 27, of Nelson, was arrested Monday, Sept. 24, at her home, after a warrant was issued on June 7, when Cornine failed to appear for a scheduled court date.

The arrest was made without incident, according to a report by the Saline County Sheriff's Department.

In a separate incident, the Sheriff's Department is also investigating the report of a theft at Breaktime MFA Oil at the Marshall Junction on Sunday, Sept. 23.

Store Manager Tonya Johnson reported the theft of several cases of motor oil, miscellaneous automotive items and windshield washing fluid from a detached shed on the north side of the main building after the store closed on Saturday night. The shed door was damaged in the break-in.

There are no suspects at this time; the investigation is continuing.

In another incident reported by the Sheriff's Department, officers were called to Countryside Convenience in rural Marshall to investigate a reported shoplifting. No arrests were made.
