Donald L. Page, 84, of Slater, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. at Slater Christian Church, with Rev. Debbie Roath officiating. Bethany Weiker, organist, will play "The Old Rugged Cross." Burial will be in Slater City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clint Page, Levi Page, Brad Edwards, Vince Buck, Matt Cobb and Nathan Sullivan. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Memorials are suggested to Big Bend Retreat.
Born May 19, 1923, in Slater, he was the son of the late Walter A. and Myrtle Sowers Page. On April 1, 1945, in Slater, he married Dorothy Allen, who preceded him in death on April 17, 2005. He was a member of Slater Christian Church. He was a retired farmer and lifelong resident of the Slater area. He had resided at Big Bend Retreat for the past 12 years.
He is survived by one daughter, Elaine Edwards of Slater; one son, Dean Page of Seattle, Wash.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Linwood Page.
