Temporary closure of U.S. 65 at Clyde's Corner rescheduled to Sept. 14 - 17

Friday, September 7, 2007
The Missouri Department of Transportation has rescheduled the temporary closing of U.S. 65 in Saline County at the curve known as Clyde's Corner due to weather concerns.

The closure, which was scheduled for this coming weekend, has been rescheduled to begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14. The closure will continue through the weekend and the highway should be reopened by 6 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 17.

The improvements to Route 65 at Clydes Corner include constructing nearly 1,050 feet of new roadway, as well as a new intersection for Route N and County Road 421 to soften the sharp curve east of Malta Bend.

Access to County Road 421 has been closed at Route 65 and will continue to be closed for the duration of the project.

Motorists should exercise caution in and around the work zone area and must choose alternate routes during the closure. The closure is weather dependent and could be rescheduled for the following weekend should inclement weather delay the project. All improvements should be completed later this fall.
