SWEET SPRINGS --The Sweet Springs volleyball team is showing improvement so far this season, but still has a long way to go to handle perennial Kaysinger Conference power Sacred Heart.

The Lady Gremlins (4-0) got six kills and 26 assists from junior Paige Shipley to claim a 25-10, 25-5 road win Thursday. The Lady Greyhounds' offense was limited to one kill -- by junior Stephanie Krause, who also had a team-high five digs -- and sophomore Katie Davidson's ace.

Sweet Springs (1-2) will play another solid Kaysinger club Monday when it hosts Smithton.
