Homer Dial, 60, of Marshall, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with Rev. Billie Allen officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Born Dec. 28, 1946, in Marshall, he was the son of the late James Homer Dial and Virgie Ruth Shelton Dial. He had lived in Marshall his entire life and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church at Marshall Junction. He operated a service station for many years and retired from the City of Marshall after 24 years of service.
Survivors include one daughter, Tammy Hermanson and husband, David, of Clinton; one son, A.J. Dial of St. Joseph; three grandchildren, Trevor, Logan and Andrew Hermanson; three sisters, Ruth Ann Green of Marshall, Mary Margaret Roe of Nelson and Bertha Nadine Pagel of Flemington; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Minnie Mae Edde.
