Mary Agnes Howard, 94, of Marshall, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2007, in Sunrise Beach.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. William W. Harlow officiated. There was no visitation. Born Jan. 30, 1913, in Gilliam, she was the daughter of the late William Henderson and Mary Frances Thomas Henderson. On Aug. 19, 1942, in Sedalia, she married Kenneth Howard, who preceded her in death on March 26, 2004. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and then attended Lincoln University. She had lived in Gilliam most of her life, until 2004 when she moved to Marshall to be with her son and daughter-in-law. She was a teacher for many years at Gilliam Public Schools and was an active member of St. John's Free Will Baptist Church in Gilliam.
Survivors include her son, Mick Howard and his wife, Tina, of Marshall; four grandchildren, Kaleb Howard, Cody Howard, Cassandra Tiffany and Ryan Teel; one half-sister, Cleo Banks of Marshall; and nieces and nephews.
