William V. "Sonny" Sinnett

William V. "Sonny" Sinnett, 82, of Salisbury, formerly of Slater, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2007, at Moberly Regional Medical Center in Moberly.

Graveside services with military honors were held Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at Slater City Cemetery. Rev. David L. Duncan officiated. Memorials are suggested to American Legion Post 78 in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.

Born Feb. 9, 1925, in Slater, he was the son of the late William Dexter Sinnett and Edna Warson Sinnett. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post 78 and V. F. W. Post 4367, both in Slater. He lived in Slater most of his life before moving to Salisbury in 1997.

He is survived by his sister, Bertha Belle Wilson of Slater.
