John Morris Schuster, 60, of Cushing, Okla., died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, at Veteran's Hospital in Muskogee, Okla.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, at Palmer-Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Cushing, Okla. Military graveside rites conducted by the U.S. Army will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, 2007, at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery in Ft. Gibson, Okla. Born Oct. 15, 1946, in Boonville, he was the son of Harold and Betty (Webster) Schuster. He grew up in Blackwater, graduated high school, attended on year of college and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following his service to his country, he worked as a truck driver and also worked for Lot Maintenance in Tulsa, Okla. He moved to Oklahoma in 1998. He married Charlene Thomas on June 11, 1988, in Los Lunas, N.M., and she survives.
He is also survived by one son, Chance Schuster of Cushing, Okla.; three daughters, Codi Trollinger of Cushing, Okla., Julie Simmons of Augusta, Kan., and Misti Hamilton of El Dorado, Kan.; one brother, Bill Schuster of Blackwater; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Warren.
