Lawrence Lee "Larry" Taylor, 66, of Lee's Summit, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, at Kansas City Hospice House.
Services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial was in Union Baptist Cemetery in Marshall. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the chapel. Online condolences may be expressed at www.speakschapel.com.
He was born Dec. 23, 1940, in Boonville, to Leo and Elsie Leona (Woolridge) Taylor. He grew up in the area and graduated from Blue Springs High School. He was a locksmith and owned Ace Lock & Key and Larry's Lock Service, and he also worked as a draftsman. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid music enthusiast. He belonged to the S.A.F.E. Locksmith Club. He was a veteran who proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.
He is survived by his wife Judy (Conner) Thomas of the home; one daughter, Kimberly, of Kansas City; three step-children, Jeff Thomas and his wife, Vickie, of Malta Bend, Keith Thomas and his wife, Ann, of Lee's Summit and Connie Rayl and her husband, Jeff, of Bonne Terre; his mother, Elsie Leona Taylor of Kansas City; one grandchild; and three step-grandchildren, Joshua Rayl, Ulyesses Thomas and Alissa Proctor.
