Sylvia Maxine Hubbard, 72, of Sweet Springs, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics, Columbia.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at Pleasant Springs Cemetery, near El Dorado Springs. Memorial contributions may be given to Deborah Allen or Mitch Hubbard in care of Fox Funeral Home, PO Box 37, Cole Camp, MO 65325.
She was born July 18, 1935, at Roscoe, a daughter of Homer and Livina (Rash) Stewart. In 1954, at El Dorado Springs, she was married to Ezra Hubbard, who preceded her in death in December 2004. From 1958-1966, she was a final ammunition inspector at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence. She owned and operated Bargain Mall, an antique store, in Independence.
She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Elaine Allen of Sweet Springs; two sons, Mark Clint Hubbard of Sweet Springs and Mitchell Brian Hubbard of Fulton; two brothers; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Stewart and Livina Stewart Fields; one daughter, Brenda Kay Hubbard in 1971; one sister, Mattie Faye Wyatt; and four brothers, Bob, Ed, Mike and H. Johnnie Stewart.
