On Friday, Aug. 17, at 3:36 p.m., officers from the Marshall Police Department investigated a traffic accident at the intersection of Highway 240 and Odell Avenue in Marshall.

As a 1997 Ford Expedition driven by Lisa Boudreau, 41, of Arrow Rock, was traveling eastbound on 240, a Pontiac Transport minivan, driven by Visitacion Ubaldo, was traveling southbound on Odell, crossing Highway 240.

The Boudreau vehicle struck the Ubaldo vehicle at the passenger side door, according to police.

Ubaldo was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital, where he was treated for head injuries. Boudreau was uninjured. Both vehicles were towed from the scene; the investigation is pending, police said.

Marshall police are also investigating an accident that occurred over the weekend.

On Saturday, Aug. 19, at 9:15 a.m., officers investigated a traffic accident at 706 Crestwood in Marshall.

A 2003 Dodge truck, registered to Glenda Parada and Domingo Umana of Marshall, was traveling eastbound on Crestwood when it left the roadway, struck the curb, a tree and then a residence.

The driver, described as a dark-complected male wearing a blue shirt and black pants, fled the scene on foot, according to police. The vehicle was towed from the scene; the investigation is pending.
