Marie "Rhea" Nienhiser, 86, of rural Blackburn, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Blackburn. Rev. Glenn A. Nowack officiated. Burial was in Blackburn Cemetery. Born Sept. 7, 1920, in Blackburn, she was the daughter of the late Edwin H. Tieman and Stella A. Hinck Tieman. On April 21, 1940, she married Willard Nienhiser, who preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1978. She had lived in Blackburn her entire life and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ where she was a member and treasurer of the Dorcas Society. She had also served as treasurer of the Blackburn Cemetery board.
Survivors include her children, Jerry Nienhiser and Glenn Nienhiser of rural Blackburn, and Karen Stewart of Cummings, Ga.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Irvin Tieman and Jimmy Tieman.
