Adventures in Libraryland/Marshall library wins grant to help pay for new computer

Wednesday, August 1, 2007
I am pleased to announce that the Missouri State Library has awarded a grant to the library in order to replace the computer server, in the amount of $12,940. These funds, when paired with library money, will provide the replacement of our current server, which is five years old and no longer meets the demands of our computers, both public and staff. While this improvement may seem invisible to those who use the library, it will enable us to continue providing the level of service you have come to expect from the library.

On beyond Google

We frequently have request at the library for assistance with legal questions. One website that provides excellent information on a full range of legal topics is http://www.findlaw.com. I highly recommend it.

The library staff and volunteers will be participating in the Santa Fe Trail Days in a couple of ways. First, there will be a book sale on Friday evening, during The Trail at Twilight from 5 to 8 pm. The price is $1 per bag of books. You don't want to miss it!

We will also be in the parade on Saturday morning. We will be the ones in bonnets.
