Ghosts of flame

Tuesday, July 31, 2007
The sky above Marshall was full of white whispy clouds Monday evening, July 30, that seemed at times like the ghosts of flames. The spring and early summer skies were often filled with thunderheads or sometimes day after day of low, dark rain-laden overcast. In recent weeks the skies have been vividly blue and clearer. The relatively unusual clouds Monday provided a new bit of sky art for residents to appreciate. (Eric Crump/Democrat-News)
