Bill Williams Jr., 58, of Marshall, died Sunday, July 22, 2007, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Mark Gooden will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be held in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Born Oct. 6, 1948, in Kansas City, he was the son of William M. "Bill" Williams, who survives of rural Marshall, and the late Betty L. Yung Williams. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and worked for Communication Service Co. He was a 1966 graduate of Marshall High School and Central Electronics Technical School in Kansas City. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1969 to 1973. He was a Baptist, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Additional survivors include one son, Bobby Williams and wife, Shanna, of Bridgeton, N.C.; one daughter, Jessica Williams of the state of Oklahoma; four grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Williams and wife, Becky, of Marshall; and two nephews, Kasey Williams and Shannon Williams.
